Paris, Je T’aime!

Eiffel Tower in Paris

Next up on my world tour is the beautiful city of lights. This wasn’t my first time to Paris, but since I only had a few days there on business, I wanted to make the most out of my trip. When you’re inundated with so many hotel options in Paris, it’s so hard to choose the right one. I wanted somewhere with a great location, a great view of course, and not too expensive.

Hotel Brighton

Hotel Brighton, part of the Esprit de France group, was perfect for me. Located on Rue de Rivoli, in the 1st arrondissement, with views of the Louvre, Jardin de Tuileries and of course the Eiffel Tower, this 4 star boutique hotel suited all my needs. From the courteous and attentive staff, the delicious breakfasts, the comfortable beds and most importantly, the views, the views, the views. The views alone made the whole trip worth it!

Hotel Brighton could not be more perfectly situated. It’s walking distance to so many great spots, like the famous Champs-Elysées, the shopping district near Place Vendôme, the beautiful Hermés store, and the oh-so Instagrammable courtyard of the Palais Royal. The metro station is a steps away, and did I mention the views from my room? Truly breathtaking. A big, big thanks to John Rodrigues, Deputy General Manager of Hotel Brighton, for your generosity and warm welcome and of course to your entire staff for making my stay so wonderful.

Things to Do

Some must-do activities in Paris obviously include visiting the Louvre, and yes – waiting your turn amongst dozens of frenzied museum-goers to get the perfect snap of the Mona Lisa. Aside from the famous (and massive) Louvre, some of my favorite museums in Paris include the quirky Centre Pompidou, the Musée Picasso, and the Musée d’Orsay. If you’re an art-lover, all of them are must-sees! If you’re not afraid of heights, riding to the top of the Eiffel Tower offers a truly stunning view of the city of lights, and you can’t miss the twinkling light show which occurs once each hour after sunset. Other notable stops are the neighborhoods of Montmarte, Montparnasse, and the Latin Quarter. We had the pleasure of visiting the Christian Dior exhibit while we were there – truly impressive!

Paris always looks lovely! It’s also quite easy to hop over to England from France, whether to see busy London or Brighton’s seaside. There’s always lots to do, especially if you stay at a central location like The Brighton Hotel https://thebrightonhotel.co.uk/Blog/Post/1477/Be-at-the-Heart-of-the-Action-at-The-Brighton-Hotel

I’ll have to look into Hotel Brighton for when I’m in France!
